UGC NET Result 2021: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the UGC NET Result 2021 for the candidates. The candidates who had appeared in the examination can check their respective scores for the National Eligibility Test (NET) 2021 on the official website of University Grants Commission (UGC) at ugcnet.nta.nic.in and the NTA official website at nta.ac.in.

About UGC NET Exam 2021:

Notably, the UGC NET exam was held in three phases, on dates; November 20, 21, 22, 24, 25, 26, 29, 30, December 1, 3, 4, 5 and January 4 and 5, 2022. The exam was conducted for 81 subjects at 837 exam centers across the country in 239 Indian cities. The exam witnessed the footfall of around 12 lakh candidates in this academic year.

UGC NET Result 2021: Steps to check

Candidates can follow the simple steps mentioned below to check their respective UGC NET Results.
  1. Log on to the official website of UGC NET at ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
  2. Click on the link located on the homepage that reads "UGC NET Result 2021". You will be redirected to a new login page.
  3. Key in your login credentials and click on the 'Submit' button. The result will be displayed on the screen.
  4. Check the result thoroughly and download the page.
  5. Obtain its printout for future references. 
Candidates must note that the UGC NET Result 2021 will remain available on the website for 90 days from the date of declaration of result. In addition to this, the official notice released on the UGC website states that the results will not be subject to rechecking/revaluation.

UGC NET Result 2021: Eligibility criteria

The performance and aggregate score of the candidates in both the papers of UGC NET will decide his/her eligibility for Assistant Professor or for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). It is notified that the candidates who have qualified exclusively for the post of Assistant Professor will not be considered for the position of JRF.

UGC NET Result 2021: Cut-off marks

The cut off marks for Paper-I of UGC are 40 for General category candidates, out of 100. Meanwhile, for those of PwD/SC/ST/OBC/Transgender candidates, the cut off score is 35. For Paper-2, the general category candidates need to secure at least 70-75 marks out of 200 marks, while the EWS/OBC candidates need to score 65-70 marks, SC candidates need 60-65 and ST candidates need 55-60 marks to qualify the exaxmination.
