JEE Main 2019: Exam Date Notice Released

JEE Main 2019 exam date notice has been released by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The agency will conduct the JEE Main exam in the first week of January next year.  
"The JEE (Main) 2019 will be conducted twice before admissions in the next academic session. The NTA will conduct first JEE (Main) - January 2019 for admission to Undergraduate Programs in NITs, IIITs ad other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions etc, between 6th January 2019 to 20th January 2019," read a notice on the official website.

JEE Main 2019 would be conducted on January 6, 12, 13, 19 and 20.

The exact date and shift allotted to candidates for JEE (Main)-January 2019 shall be displayed by the October 5, 2018 on the NTA websites viz. www.nta.ac.inand www.jeemain.nic.in. The City allotted to the candidates of examination for Paper-1 and Paper-2 will also be available by October 21,  2018.

As Notified in Information Bulletin: 
Exact City, date and shift of examination for Paper-1 andPaper-2 may be made available by 15th November, 2018 on NTA’s website. 

May be read as:
The date and shift for Paper-1 and Paper-2 will be available by October 5, 2018. However, the exact City of examination for Paper-1 and Paper-2 will be available by 21st October, 2018 on NTA’s website.

Highlights
Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) MAIN will be conducted by the NTA from 2019 onwards.
This Examination was being conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) till 2018.                               
JEE Main is applicable for admission to NITs, IIITs and CFTIs participating though Central Seat Allocation Board subject to the condition that the candidate should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards.
For SC/ST candidates the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class examination.
NTA would also conduct National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) and Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test(GPAT).
NTA will be conducting JEE Main twice a year.
JEE Main is applicable for admission to NITs, IIITs and CFTIs participating though Central Seat Allocation Board.

Step 2: Go to the notification mentioning JEE Main registration process. 
Step 3: Read instructions and submit application.   

Eligibility criteria for JEE Main 2019:

Date of Birth 

Candidate should be born on or after October 1, 1994.

Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disabilities (PwD), must have been born on or after October 1, 1989 to be eligible for JEE Main. Candidates of these categories have been given a relaxation of 5 years.
