JEE Main 2019 registration has begun. The interested candidate can register themselves on the official website of JEE Main: jeemain.nic.in.
JEE Main is applicable for admission to NITs, IIITs and CFTIs participating though Central Seat Allocation Board, JEE) Main will be conducted by the NTA from 2019 onwards.
Earlier, the Central Board of Secondary Education had conducted the JEE Main.
Application Procedure: Steps to be followed to apply online
Step 1: Fill in the Online Application Form and note down system generated Application Number. The candidate should supply all the details while filling the Online Application Form and is also required to create PASSWORD and choose Security Question and enter his/her Answer. After successful submission of the data, an Application number will be generated and it will be used to complete the remaining Steps of the Application Form and will also be required for all future correspondence. For subsequent logins, the candidate will be able to login directly with the respective system generated Application Number and created Password.
Step 2: Upload Scanned Images of Candidate Photograph and Candidate Signature:
- Scanned photograph and signature should be in JPG/JPEG format.
- Size of the scanned photograph should be between 10 kb to 200 kb.
- Size of the scanned signature should be between 4 kb to 30 kb.
Step 3: Pay Examination Fee by SBI MOPS (Net Banking/Debit/Credit Card/e-Challan):
Payment by Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking/e-Challan: The candidate has to select Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking option to pay the application fee and follow the online instruction to complete the payment of a fee. After successful payment, the candidate will be able to print the Confirmation Page. In case the Confirmation Page is not generated after payment of fee then the transaction is cancelled and the amount will be refunded to the candidate's account. However, the candidate has to make another transaction, in case the Confirmation Page is not generated.

Eligibility criteria for JEE Main 2019
Date of Birth
Candidate should be born on or after October 1, 1994.
Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disabilities (PwD), must have been born on or after October 1, 1989, to be eligible for JEE Main. Candidates of these categories have been given a relaxation of 5 years.
Note: Date of birth will be considered as mentioned in the Secondary Education Board/ University certificate.
Pass percentage: The eligibility criteria of JEE Main 2019 does not specify any pass percentage for appearing in the exam.
The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India has notified the following two changes in the JEE pattern from 2017:
1. There shall be no weight for the 12th class marks in calculating the ranks in the JEE (Main) examination.
2. For the candidates to qualify for the admission in the IITs/NITs/IIITs and such other CFTIs whose admissions are based on the JEE (Advanced)/JEE(Main) ranks, they should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST students the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class examination.
