GATE 2023: The Director of IIT Kanpur Prof. Abhay Karandikar has shared a tweet informing the dates of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2023. As per the tweet, the Gate 2023 examination will be held on the 4th, 5th, 11th, and 12th of February 2023. He also shared that the registration for the examination will begin in the first week of September 2022. Candidates aspiring to apply for the GATE 2023 can do that on the official website @gate.iitk.ac.in, once the registration process commences.

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a national examination conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) at Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee on behalf of National Coordination Board (NCB)-GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India.
Prof Karandikar also informed tweeted about the examination pattern, information that GATE2023 will be a computer-based test (CBT). It will be conducted in twenty-nine subject areas with the choice of selecting two papers in some subjects.

IIT Kanpur Director, Prof. Karandikar also wrote in his tweet about the significance of the GATE Examination, "GATE score is helpful for admission and/or financial assistance to (i) Master’s programs and direct Doctoral programs in Engineering / Technology / Architecture and (ii) Doctoral programs in relevant branches of Arts and Science, in the institutions supported by Education Ministry of India."
