After destroying the live low-orbiting satellite during a missile test, India on Wednesday joined the space "super league".
However, three countries of the world- the US, Russia, and China had this achievement. India has emerged as the fourth one.

What is Low Earth Orbit?
Low Earth Orbit or LEO refers to satellite systems used in telecommunication. It is an Earth-centered orbit with an altitude of 2,000 km.
LEO is used mainly for data communication such as email, video conferencing and paging
According to Kepler's third law, this corresponds to a semi-major axis of 8,413 km (5,228 mi).
Why LEO is used?
LEO provides high bandwidth and low communication latency. It requires the lowest amount of energy for satellite placement.
