The National Testing Agency, NTA will soon declare the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, ICAR Result 2021 for UG and PG programmes. The exam for UG and PG was held on 13th September and 17th September 2021 respectively. The candidates who registered themselves and appeared for the exam can check their results once released on the ICAR NTA official website- icar.nta.ac.in.
The NTA conducted the exam in multiple shifts and dates, especially in 2 different sessions per day. The candidates received a different set of questions in different shifts. So it’s expected that the difficulty is not the same for the two different question papers. Therefore, the NTA will be using the Normalization procedure based on the Percentile Score. The method will be used to prepare the ICAR Result 2021 to ensure that the candidates who appeared for the examination in different shifts are neither disadvantaged nor benefited due to the exam difficulty level.
Normalization Procedure Based on the Percentile Score:
- The exam conducting body will use 100 percentile as the highest raw score in each paper which reflects that 100% of students have scored equal to or less than the highest scorer or the topper of that particular session.
- The exam conducting body has fixed 100 percentile as the highest score for the respective session.
- The large number of candidates spread across the country will help in decreasing the biases in result evaluation.
- To count the eligibility cut-off of a category, the lowest score would be considered.
- The percentile scores will be evaluated up to seven decimal places to reduce ties.
The candidates must note that the percentile score is not the same as the percentage which is scored by the candidate. The NTA is also going to issue the answer key for both UG and PG examinations. The final answer key would be released after reviewing the objections raised by the candidates against the provisional answer key. After the declaration of the result, NTA will announce the schedule for counselling separately on ICAR official website. The candidates also must note that there has been no provision set for re-evaluation of the ICAR 2021 result. The candidates are advised to check the ICAR official website for more detailed information and updates related to the ICAR Result 2021.
