The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the class 12th board exam result 2023 on May 12, 2023 on its official website, cbse.nic.in.
The CBSE Class 12th exams were conducted from February 15th to April 5th. About 6,96,770 students appeared in the Class 12th Board Exam this year, the pass percentage has been 87.33%.
Trivandrum has emerged as the region with the highest pass percentage in the CBSE Class 12 exams, with an impressive 99.91% pass rate. Bengaluru comes in second with a pass percentage of 99.67%, followed by Chennai with 97.40% and Delhi West with 93.24%. However, Bhopal came in second-last with an 83.54% pass percentage, while Noida has the lowest pass percentage of 80.36%.
It's worth noting that the pass percentage for girls in the exams is 90.68%, which is 6.01% higher than that of boys, who have a pass percentage of 84.67%. In addition, the pass percentage for transgender students is 60%.
Furthermore, in an effort to avoid unhealthy competition among students, CBSE does not release any merit list and does not award first, second, or third divisions to its students. Instead, it will award merit certificates to the 0.1% students who scored the highest marks in various subjects.
