The candidates are invited to register for the Indian Navy Short Service Commission (SSC) Officer Recruitment 2021. The Indian Navy has invited applications for eligible men and women who are unmarried. The course will begin in June 2022 at the Indian Naval Academy, INA Ezhimala, Kerala. The candidates must note that the registration process will end on October 5, 2021. The Indian Navy has invited the applicants for the enrolment of SSC Officers in 181 posts. The interested candidates can register themselves for the recruitment process on the Indian Navy official website- joinindiannavy.gov.in.

Who can Apply for Indian Navy SSC Officer Recruitment 2021

The Candidates who have graduated or are in the final year, with minimum 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA from a University incorporated by an Act of Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as Universities/Autonomous Universities under UGC, Act 1956; IIT Act, 1961; AICTE Act, 1987; NITSER Act, 2007; IIIT Act 2014, or; Obtained a degree in Engineering with 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA/System from such foreign university/ college/ institution recognized by the Government of India for the purpose or Engineering Degree/equivalence certificate from Association of Indian Universities established under AIU, Act 1973, can apply. 

The candidates will, however, be required to fulfill the educational qualifications stipulated above before joining INA. The candidates failing to meet stipulated educational criteria will not be permitted to join INA, Ezhimala. All SSB recommended candidates would be required to inform their final result of respective degree by 30 Apr 22 to Indian Navy on the email ID officer@navy.gov.in. 

Tenure of Commission

Selected candidates will be granted Short Service Commission initially for 10 years extendable by a maximum of 04 years in 02 terms (02 years + 02 years), subject to service requirement, performance, medical eligibility, and willingness of candidates.

Medical Requirements for Candidates 

SSB recommended candidates are required to undergo a medical examination as applicable to their entry. Candidates of Pilot entry are required to undergo Computerised Pilot Selection System (CPSS) followed by Aviation medical examination. Candidates for Observer entry are to undergo Aviation medical examination. Change of medical hospital/center is not permissible under any circumstances.

How to Apply for Indian Navy 2021 SSC Officer Recruitment


The candidates are required to follow the below-mentioned instructions to apply for the Indian Navy SSC Officer Recruitment 2021. 

Step 1: Visit the Indian Navy official website on joinindiannavy.gov.in.

Step 2: Click on the Current Events tab and then click the link named ‘SSC Entries (Jun 2022 Course).’

Step 3: Register by filling in the needed information and then log in using the credentials. 

Step 4: Fill the application form with relevant documents. 

Step 5: Upload mandatory documents and click on submit. 

Step 6: Download and keep a hard copy of the application for future use. 

Indian Navy SSC Officer Recruitment 2021: Important Points to Note

The candidates can fill in only one application for applying to the recruitment process. Around 1000 candidates who chose SSC-Pilot entry will be selected for the CPSS/SSB/Aviation medical exam. The remaining candidates will be considered for the preference they have selected. The candidates are required to select their branch/cadres preference. The candidates will be allocated to the cadres/branches as per their preference which will be subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria such as medical standards, education, etc.
