This is happening after a yearlong-wait of wait the exams will be conducted this year.
According to a railway official, the tender bidding process would be over by mid-May as the board invited tenders for the agency conducting an examination in March. RRB officer Angaraj Mohan has said that “the whole process will be completed by the May 20 as the tender selection process is going on and the first board meeting in the selection of the recruitment agency will be held on 22 April”.

After the selection process, the board will discuss with the recruitment agency over the dates of exams to be conducted on, mentioned by the official.
The official also added, “the recruitment exam for both NTPC, Group D can be conducted by the end of this year if everything goes well”.
More than 1 crore candidates applied last year for the recruitment exam. The notification of the same was released in February last year and registration began from February 28, 2019.
