The official release further informed that nearly 3, 20, 000 students have registered for the exams led by Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE). Notably, the practical exams for Class 12 students will be conducted by the higher secondary schools of the state, with its own teachers essaying the role of supervisors, a statement from the official release added.
The official release then justified the conduct of practical examinations internally by stating that the state government is aware of various kinds of hurdles that the students have undergone amidst recurring Covid-19 waves. Hence, keeping the same in view, it has decided to take sympathetic steps for the benefit and well-being of students.

20 percent weightage in both practical and theory exams will be considered from the students' performance in quarter end exams, which had been conducted by the schools internally. Thus, their performance in best two internal tests out of three shall be taken into account, the official release stated.
The merit list will be prepared by incorporating two separate schemes in the paper- Performance of the students in the annual Higher Secondary Examinations and 80% weightage on the basis of performance in annual HS exams, along with 20% weightage from the students' performance in the quarter end exams.
