The syllabus for the Maharashtra Classes 1 to 12 has been reduced by the 25% by the Maharashtra State Council for Educational Research and Training (MSCERT), in view of the pandemic.
The Government of Maharashtra has approved the proposal submitted by the Maharashtra State Council for Educational Research and Training (MSCERT) for reducing 25% of the syllabus for Classes 1 to 12, School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad announced.
The news has been confirmed by the Minister of School Education, Varsha Gaikwad through a tweet on her personal twitter handle. The tweet read, “In view of Kovid 19 (Coronavirus) in the state, the State Education Amendment and Training Council had proposed a 25 percent reduction in the syllabus for Classes I to XII of the academic session 2020-21. The state government has approved this proposal.”

After CBSE, not only Maharashtra but many other boards decided to Cut down the syllabus for this year in view of the pandemic.
The CBSE, on July 7, announced that the board will reduce the syllabus for Classes 9 to 12 due to the COVID-19 pandemic which has disrupted the academic schedule all over the country.
