Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria for various streams will have to take an aptitude test in Hindi and English at several test centres across the country. On qualifying the exam, the candidates pursuing the BSc/BS/BStat/BMath/Integrated MSc/MS courses will receive a monthly fellowship of Rs 5000 from first to third years. Additionally, they will receive an annual contingency grant of Rs 20,000.
Meanwhile, for the first and second year candidates pursuing Msc or 4th/5th year candidates pursuing Integrated Msc/M.S course, the monthly stipend has been fixed as Rs 7000, while the annual contingency grant offered is Rs 28,000.
KVPY 2022 Exam pattern:
The exam pattern for KVPY 2022 has been mentioned below for the reference of the candidates willing to appear in the test.
- The exam will be held as a Computer-based test (CBT).
- Medium of instruction for the exam is bilingual (English and Hindi).
- Paper consists of two parts- Part I and Part II, each having four sections. Multiple choice questions (MCQs) will be asked in the exam.
- Duration of the exam is 3 hours.
- Negative marks are awarded for filling wrong responses. 1 mark is awarded for each correct answer in Part 1, while 0.25 mark is deducted for wrong response. In Part-II, 2 marks are awarded for every correct response, while 0.5 marks are deducted for wrong answers.
