ICMR to Award 150 Fellowships Through ICMR JRF Exam, Application Process Begins Today
The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) is to begin the application process for the ICMR Junior Research Fellowship (ICMR JRF) Test 2020 from today i.e. April 27, 2020.

The application forms will be available on the official website i.e. icmr.nic.in from today, as per the last notice released by the ICMR on its official website. 

The candidates who wish to appear for the exam can visit the official website and apply for the same.

The application process for ICMR JRF will begin from April 27, 2020, and will conclude on May 27. 2020.  A total of 150 fellowships will be awarded through this exam by the ICMR and 120 will be in the field of Biomedical Science and 30 will be for work emphasis on Social Science.

The last notice regarding ICMR JRF read that the examination for the same has been scheduled to be conducted on July 12, 2020.

ICMR JRF 2020: Application Fees

Only online applications will be accepted. General, EWS, and OBC candidates will have to pay Rs. 1500 by way of application fee. The fee for SC and ST candidates is Rs. 1200. Candidates in the PwBD category are exempted from application fee.
ICMR JRF Entrance Exam 2020 Syllabus

ICMR JRF Exam will consist of questions from the following given subjects/topics

The Aptitude Section (Section A)

  • A scientific phenomenon in everyday life
  • General knowledge of sciences
  • Common statistics

The subject Specific Section (Section B & C)

  • Life Sciences
  • Social Science

ICMR JRF Entrance Exam 2020 Pattern

ICMR JRF Exam will consist of one paper and the duration of the exam will be of 2 hours. The paper will consist of 2 Sections.

The Aptitude Section (Section A) will have 50 questions on

  • A scientific phenomenon in everyday life;
  • General knowledge in sciences; and
  • Common statistics.

All these questions would be compulsory with each question carrying 1 mark.

The subject Specific Section (Section B & C) would pertain to

  • Life Sciences and
  • Social Science.

ICMR JRF 2020: Other important information

The examination will be held in collaboration with the Post-graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh by the ICMR. The computer-based test will be held on July 12, 2020.
