The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has issued an official notice answering the various queries based on the exam schedule for CA May 2020. Aspirants who have to appear for the CA Foundation, Intermediate, and Final exam to be held from May 2 to 18, 2020, are facing doubt about the exam dates.
While the ICAI has issued the notice clarifying the exam schedule and urged students to don't believe on rumours related to the exam date. The Institute has mentioned in its notice about the impact of COVID 19 Pandemic in India; the exact nature and outreach of which is yet unfolding. The coronavirus epidemic has resulted in public distancing and situation of mass lockdown in some of the States.
The Institute has already provided aspirants with the facility of centre choice and to change it if required till March 23, 2020. The CA May 2020 Exam is scheduled to be held from May 2 to 18, 2020 at 207 centres across the country. The May examination will also be held at 5 overseas examination centres.
Meanwhile, for the benefit of students, many steps like e-learning, video lectures and certain relaxation in GMCS/ITT for those, whose May 2020 attempts were getting affected has been provided by the Institute.
The ICAI has assured that the Institute stands committed for the welfare of its students and will take all suitable steps as and when it will be required. Further Institute will inform the students when the situation will get more clear.

The exam will be held in the afternoon session.
Note: In Paper 3 and 4 of Foundation Examination and all papers of Post Qualification Course Examinations there will not be any advance reading time, whereas in all other papers/exams mentioned above, an advance reading time of 15 minutes will be given from 1.45 PM (IST) to 2 PM (IST).
