CBSE to Conduct Board Exams for Class 10th & 12th After Lockdown

The Central School of Secondary Education (CBSE) high school and intermediate examinations was commenced on February 15, 2020. The CBSE Class 12th board exam was scheduled to end on March 30, 2020, and CBSE Class 10th board exam will end on March 20, 2020. But due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the examination which was scheduled to be conducted from March 19 to March 31, 2020, was postponed. The decision was taken to avoid the community transmission of the pandemic disease.

Earlier Board has issued an official notification that the Board will Conduct Exams of 29 Main Subjects after lockdown. For the rest of the subjects, the Board will not hold examinations. The instructions for marking/assessment in all such cases shall be separately issued by the Board.

The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ has urged education ministers of all states to resume the evaluation process for the CBSE Class 10th & 12th Answer sheets. 

Meanwhile, fake news was spreading across the social media that the CBSE will cancel the rest of the Board exams pending due to lockdown. It is to be noted that according to the CBSE circular dated April 1, 2020, CBSE announced to cancel all pending examinations for classes 10 and 12 for foreign students. Measures like the closure of schools, public places, and varsities have been taken by the government in an attempt to control the spread of the virus.

Now the CBSE has issued an official statement, putting an end to rumours about the cancellation of the remaining CBSE 10th 12th Board Exams 2020. CBSE has issued a statement through its official twitter handle. Students can check the official tweet provided below;
