The objective behind it is that until the fifth grade, the child should read, know and understand the language spoken in their home. This will help him to get connect the culture and the state.

Hindi will be promoted like other languages used to speak in the country. States can also promote their regional language.
Education up to primary level will be continued in the regional language. Further, it has bee proposed that if the state wants, it will be discussed to prepare a special curriculum from NCERT. There is a plan to add Hindi to high school education. However, consent will be obtained from the states on this also.

According to sources, the recommendation of the committee to teach three Indian languages compulsory along with Sanskrit will be discussed in the 'Three Language Formula'.

In addition, the inclusion of foreign language as an elective language will also be considered. If someone wants to teach classical languages including Indian languages, then the central government will provide financial help.
