NEET UG 2022: The National Testing Agency (NTA), on July 19, 2022 has constituted a fact-finding committee to probe the matter regarding the frisking process before NEET UG 2022 exam that sparked a row, where the friskers had allegedly asked the female candidates to shrug off their bra and other innerwear to appear in the examination in the Kollam district of Kerala.

The Committee has been formed after receiving orders from the Ministry of Education and has been directed to ascertain all the facts about the incident that took place on the said location. The committee has the liberty to inquire about the incident from the stakeholders present at the disputed examination centre.
 
The incident was unearthed when the father of a 17-year-old examinee of the NEET UG 2022 exam approached the local police on July 17, 2022, alleging that the authorities present at the exam centre had directed her daughter to remove her bra and other innerwear before appearing for the medical undergraduate exam. Adding to the complaint, he had also alleged that other female candidates present at the examination centre also had to go through the unpleasant situation at the Marthoma Institute of Technology, situated in Ayur.
 
The Union Ministry, after taking cognizance of the incident, asked the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, to constitute a team and send it to the spot to probe the matter. Even though the NTA had refused about any such incident coming to light, the team has been constituted to clear the air about the issue.
 
Issuing a statement, the Ministry said, 'In view of the controversy that emerged before the conduct of NEET UG 2022 exam, the Ministry of Education has issued instructions to the NTA to ascertain all the facts about the incident from those very stakeholders who were present at the examination centre that time. Following this, the NTA has constituted a fact finding committee which will look into the matter. Based on the reports of the Fact Finding Committee, the further plan of action shall be decided'.
