The incident was known to leave the 17-year-old examinee in trauma and she is yet to overcome it. The father-daughter duo had approached the Police post exam, who have registered a case against the friskers and are persevering in their efforts to initiate action against them.
After the incident came to the notice of the Higher Education Minister of the state, R Bindu, he said, 'Such an act by the authorities of the exam conducting agency must definitely have been detrimental for the candidates slated to appear in the examination. At least the basic human rights should have been taken into consideration before beginning the frisking process.'
In other latest updates related to the incident, several student outfits have begun protesting against the said private educational institution. Student activists have barged into the college premises and have resorted to vandalism, demanding strict action against the friskers. In view of the disruptions and violent protests, more police personnel had to be deployed to bring the situation under control.
Talking to the media, the father of the 17-year-old sufferer stated that her daughter was dressed for the exam as per the dress code issued by the NTA. It is noteworthy that the dress code does not mention anything about the innerwear. Despite following all rules and regulations, the exam conducting authorities asked the girl to remove her brassiere and the candidate was forced to sit in the 3- hour long exam without it.
