The government laid the foundation of a national institute at Alwar on October 1, 2018.
This will be the first national institute at Alwar which will provide specialized courses in Ayurveda and Unani medicine and a world class skill Centre.
It will even provide minimum of 40% reservation for the girls according to a report of Times of India .
In 2020, the institution is expected to take in its first batch of students.
There are many backward areas where impetus to education and skill development are not introduced. In order to provide such education in the backward area the ministry of minorities affairs plans to set-up four more such institutes across the country.
The institute proposes to provide end to end education to the local students. It will provide facility of a school for the students from primary to senior secondary level. It will also create an avenue even for the people from other states for education.
The institute is being seen as a feeder school system which will be allowing the students to apply for the specialized courses at the higher education level that the institute will offer.
The main motive for this institute to establish is to make way for the education even in the backward areas. It has become a medium for education as well as Ayurveda to establish them in the society and to make people aware.
This was the reason, for chosing Alwar as the location of the institute.
As per the minister of minority affairs Mukhatar Abbas Naqvi, Alwar is also near the most backward ranked district according to the Niti Aayog ranking.
In terms of access to students aspiring for the education in health science, even its proximity to Delhi makes it viable.
To improve the education facilities a high level committee under the MAEF, last year made many recommendations noting that there was vital gap in affordable and quality school education for children from minority communities.
It is an important step to bring the society to an equal platform and in the sector of education increase the litracy rate. As mostly the educational institutes have turned towards the skill development and specialized courses. This institute has joined and added its name to be one of them.
