Read Carefully! The definition of kilograms is Not the Same Anymore
kilo
The Kilogram has been re-defined yes! for the competitive exam this could be an important topic the students or candidates who are preparing for the competitive exams.

Read further to know the facts and amazing information about this topic.

Scientists have decided to change the definition of kilograms unanimously recently, to be precise on November 16, 2018.

As a result of this new definition, the use of platinum alloy cylinders adopted by Paris in 1889 will be discontinued.

In the new system redefined by Planck Constant, the unit of mass is determined by the electrical force.

These new changes will take effect on World Metrology Day that is from May 20, 2019.

Facts:
- Scientists have changed the definition of kilograms. More than 50 countries have given unanimous approval to the new definition.

- Currently, it is defined by the weight of a cylinder made from Platinum, which is called "Le Grand K". Such a clause is closed near the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM) in western Paris in 1889.

- The scientists were on the side of the kilograms should be defined on the basis of mechanical and electromagnetic energy.

- In future, kilograms will be measured using Kibble or Watt balance. It is a tool that makes accurate calculations using mechanical and electromagnetic energy.

- If this happens, the definition of kilograms will not be changed nor can it be harmed. It will provide scientists with accurate measurements of one kg in France, and anywhere in the world.

The reason for the change:
In the 19th Century, a piece of Platinum-Iridium Metal (Le Grand K) was placed in a glass bowl in the French International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM) office.

The size is similar to cylinders. Lee Grand's' built in London has a cylinder of 4 centimeters made of 90 percent platinum and ten percent iridium, which is closed in the Walt of the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM) in West Frontier Province of western Paris in the year 1889.

Scientists believe that physical objects can easily lose atoms or absorb molecules by air, due to which the volume was changed ten times in microgram.

This means that prototypes are used worldwide to measure kilograms and levels. It can not be measured in normal life but it can cause problems for the scientific approach.
