SSC CGL 2024: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will close the registration window for the Combined Graduate Level Examination (SSC CGL) today, 27 July. Interested candidates can register online by visiting the official website at ssc.gov.in. The recruitment drive aims to fill approximately 17,727 vacancies.

The application fee for SSC CGL 2024 is Rs 100. However, female candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), and Ex-Servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from paying the application fee.


The maximum percentage of errors (minimum qualifying criteria) is 20% for the unreserved category, 25% for OBC and EWS candidates, and 30% for all other categories.


SSC CGL 2024: Eligibility 
  • The age limit varies based on the position:
18-30 years
20-30 years
18-32 years
18-27 years
  • The cut-off date for determining the age limit is August 1, 2024.
  • Reserved category candidates will receive relaxation in the upper age limit.
  • The educational qualification requirements differ according to the position.


SSC CGL 2024: Selection Process
  • Candidates will be selected through a two-tier Computer-Based Examination (CBE), followed by a document verification stage.
  • The notification includes details regarding the scheme and syllabus for the Computer-Based Examination.
  • Document verification will be conducted by user departments after the final results are announced.
