Over 1,000 National Cadet Corps(NCC) cadets from across the country are expected to congregate at Malayattoor for the eight-day national level trekking camp, kicking off from December 23.
The camp is being organised by the Ernakulam NCC Group of Kerala NCC Directorate, an official release here said.
About 250 cadets will represent the host state at the camp which will also have training sessions on Leadership and Personality Development, National Integration, Ecology Preservation, Organ donation, Naturopathy and Ayurveda, among others, Commodore T P Jaison Thomas, Ernakulam Group Commander said.
An education tour will also be conducted as part of the camp to make the participants aware of the rich cultural heritage and scenic beauty of the state, he said.
NCC Group Ernakulam is conducting the camp for the fourth consecutive year.Lt. Colonel H Padmanabhan, Commanding Officer of 22 Kerala Battalion NCC, is the Camp Commandant.
