British Council and Hyderabad-based English and Foreign Languages University (EFL-U) will conduct the fourth edition of an international teacher educator conference from February 21-23, a senior official said on Wednesday.
Michael Connolly, assistant director English Partnership British Council, told reporters that the English Language Teachers Educators conference will be held at Hyderabad.
This year, the conference will focus on 'Innovation in English Language Teacher Education', he said, adding it will cover Technology, Social Media and Networking for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) among others.
Connolly said that British Council has worked with 11 state governments since 2007 to improve standards of English language teacher training, besides working with public and private partners.
"We have worked with around 7000 master trainers who have trained more than seven lakh teachers," he said.
The delegates would be from various countries, he said.
