Aiming to fundamentally transform the education sector in India, the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode (IIM-K), will organize a three-day workshop from Thursday in New Delhi for school teachers, principals and educationists.
For the first time, Kerala's leading business group, Malabar Gold and Diamonds, will sponsor 200 scholarships and four gold medals for school teachers, an IIM-K press release said.
This is the fourth of the series of workshops being held. The previous ones were held at Kozhikode, Hyderabad and Dubai.
Director of IIM-K Prof Debashis Chatterjee, who has designed and taught this workshop around the world, said the workshop is a commitment to reinventing teaching and learning excellence by encouraging schools to move away from the old fashioned approach of teaching to a text toward learning in context.
