WB Madhyamik Result 2020
The distribution date of the WB Madhyamik Result 2020 Marksheet has been changed by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE). The marksheet distribution has now been scheduled to be done on July 23 and July 25, 2020. Earlier the marksheet was to be distributed from July 22 to July 23, 2020.
Earlier the Board had announced that mark sheets will be distributed on July 22 and 23. But it changed one date after the state government decided to impose total lockdown in the entire state on July 23 and 25, 2020.
Board President Kalyanmoy Ganguly said in a notification, "In view of the distribution of Madhyamik Pariksha results on July 22 and 24 instead of July 23 due to lockdown and also with regard to upcoming admission to class eleven, it is hereby ordered that all teachers and non-teaching staff shall attend school on the above days".
Around 50 percent of teaching and non-teaching staff of institutes will have to be present on each day as per the notification. All those employees who are living in containment zones are exempted from their duty on the two days the lockdown will be imposed.
The Board had said that WBBSE will follow certain norms before the distribution of the mark sheets in the press conference conducted by the Board for the announcement of the result.
The result for the WB Madhyamik Exam 2020 was announced on July 15, 2020. A total of 10 lakh students appeared for the examination this year out of which 8.43 candidates have qualified the examination. An estimated 86.34 percent of students passed the class 10 board examination in West Bengal this year.
