UPSC declares civil services (main) examination results
The results of civil services (main) examination, 2014 were declared on Sunday night by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

The personality test of successful candidates is likely to commence from April 27, the UPSC said.

The results have been declared pending the outcome of a review petition filed in the Supreme Court by the Centre seeking to review its recent verdict that scrapped reservation for Jat community, official sources said.

However, there was no mention of the Supreme Court case in the press release issued late at night by the Commission.

A list carrying roll numbers of successful candidates have been put up on the UPSC's website - www.upsc.gov.in.

"The result of 1 candidate roll no. 542075 has been withheld subject to the outcome of the court case," the UPSC said without mentioning details or background of the case.

The Supreme Court had on March 17 set aside the decision of former UPA regime to include Jats in central list of Other Backward Classes (OBCs) to accord quota benefits to them following which, the Centre had moved the apex court on April 1 seeking review of its decision.
