UPSC Civil Services 2022 Final Result: Important Details
Ishita Kishore topped the Civil Services Examination 2022. Garima Lohia and Uma Harithi N secured the second and third ranks respectively in the coveted examination, according to the results.
The civil services examination is conducted annually in three stages -- preliminary, main and interview -- by the UPSC to select officers of Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS), among others.
A total of 933 candidates have been selected for appointment in the final result of the UPSC Civil Services Examination. Out of these, 345 candidates are unreserved, 99 are from the EWS category, 263 are from the OBC category, 154 are from the SC category, and 72 are from the ST category.
For the post of IAS, 180 candidates have been shortlisted for selection, and a reserve list of 178 candidates has also been prepared.
UPSC recommends candidates who will join India's most important civil services based on preliminary and main examinations, followed by a personal interview. UPSC conducted personal interviews of Civil Services 2022 candidates in three phases, with the third and final phase ending on May 18, 2023.
