UPSC CDS 1 Result 2024 - PC : UPSC CDS 2 Exam 2024
 
UPSC CDS 1 Result 2024: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the results for the Combined Defence Services (CDS) I exam 2024 on their official website. The candidates who appeared for the same can visit the official website i.e. upsc.gov.in. to view or download the result.

The UPSC CDS 1 2024 written exam was conducted on 21 April 2024. The examination was conducted in two shifts: the first shift from 9 am to 11 am and the second shift from 12 noon to 2 pm. Candidates who have passed the CDS I 2024 exam will be called for an SSB interview. The CDS I 2024 results are available in a PDF file, which consists of names and roll numbers of those who have successfully cleared the exam. 

However, the UPSC CDS 2 exam will be conducted on 1 September 2024. The candidates may note that they will not require any credentials to check their results. 

UPSC CDS 1 Result 2024: How to check? 
  • Firstly candidates need to visit the official website i.e. upsc.gov.in. 
  • Then click on the result link available on the home page. 
  • The pdf of the result will be displayed on the screen of the candidate. 
  • After viewing, download the same. 
  • The candidates can take a printout for future reference. 

UPSC CDS 1 Result 2024: Interview schedule 

Day 1: Screening test

Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) Test
Verbal and non-verbal reasoning questions.
Designed to assess the candidate's intelligence and reasoning ability.

Picture Perception and Description Test (PPDT):
Candidates are shown a blurry picture for 30 seconds.
They must write a story based on the picture within 4 minutes.
Following this, a group discussion is held where candidates discuss their stories.

Day 2: Psychological tests

Thematic Apperception Test (TAT):
12 pictures are shown (one blank).
Candidates write a story based on each picture.

Word Association Test (WAT):
60 words are shown, each for 15 seconds.
Candidates write the first thought that comes to mind.

Situation Reaction Test (SRT):
60 situations are provided.
Candidates write their immediate responses to each situation.

Self-Description Test (SD):
Candidates write five paragraphs about themselves (Parents, Friends, Teachers, Own opinion, and what they would like to improve).

Day 3: Group Testing Officers (GTO) Tasks

Group Discussion (GD):
Two topics are discussed, each for about 20 minutes.
Topics are of social relevance or current affairs.

Group Planning Exercise (GPE):
Candidates are given a model with a situation.
They must discuss and write a common plan to solve the problems.

Progressive Group Tasks (PGT):
Group obstacle course where candidates work together to move from one point to another.

Group Obstacle Race (GOR):
Candidates navigate a series of obstacles as a group.

Half Group Task (HGT):
Similar to PGT but with fewer members.

Lecturette:
Each candidate delivers a short talk on a given topic.

Day 4: GTO Tasks (Continued)

Individual Obstacles:
Candidates navigate 10 obstacles individually.

Command Task:
Each candidate is a commander and must lead their group through obstacles.

Final Group Task:
Another group obstacle task is similar to PGT.

Day 5: Conference

A panel of assessors interviews each candidate.
Candidates are asked about their experience, personal background, and aspirations.
Final results are announced, and selected candidates undergo a medical examination.
