UP Board Results 2017: Here's how students scored in previous years

Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad is all set to declare the result for both High School and Intermediate on June 9, 2017, let’s see what students scored in the previous years.

Last year, Saumya Patel of Rae Bareli topped the High School examination in which 31 lakh students had appeared and 87.66 per cent had passed.

Girls outshined boys in the Matric examination and the respective pass percentages were 88.34% and 79.73%. Sarvesh Verma topped the UP Board 10th Result last year, with 96.8% or 581/600.

On the other hand, for UP Board 12th Result, 7.6 lakh candidates appeared for the exams, wherein 24.6 lakh qualified the exam with overall pass percentage of 88.83. Taking a cue from their class 10 candidates, girls outperformed boys with 92.16%. Boys could only manage 85.91%. Jyoti Rathore with 97.20% topped the Intermediate examination of UP Board.

Last year, UP Board class X exams were conducted by the UP board from February 18 to March 9, 2016. About 37,49,977 students have appeared for the class 10 exams at 11580 centres across the state.

However, the previous years' trend show that this year will certainly witness an increase in the pass percentage of the students.

This year, 34,04,571 students have appeared for the Uttar Pradesh Board 10th exams which were conducted from March 16 to April 1. In Intermediate or Class 12, a total of 26,24,681 students appeared which were held from March16 to April 21, 2017.
