A student who completed B Tech (Biotechnology) from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University has secured first rank in the combined entrance examination for Agricultural Biotechnology conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi.
C Ramsankar, who did his B.Tech in TNAU in May, topped the rank list at the National Level among 140 selected candidates to pursue MSc program in any of the 12 State Agricultural Universities in India, a TNAU release said today.
Along with Ramsankar, 10 more students from TNAU were also selected for this fellowship, it said.
The selected students would receive a stipend of Rs 4,500 per month from Department of Biotechnology, Delhi.
The Vice-Chancellor, Director and faculty members lauded the students for their achievement, the release said.
