Nagaland School Board exams results declared
Shubhamkar Barman emerged topper of the HSLC exam of the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) with the total pass percentage recording at 65.19, an official release said.

Barman of Ram Janaki Higher Secondary School of Dimapur district topped the HSLC exam with 96.67 per cent while Uttam Sharma from Assembly of God HSS, Dimapur was second with 96.33 per cent. Vezotol Kezo of Mezhr HSSS Kohima and Oscar Muchahary of Holy Cross HSS Dimapur are the top three position holders with 94.84 per cent, it said.

Around 21,678 students appeared for the matric exam while 14,131 emerged successful in the exam conducted in February, it said.

The performance of private schools has been better with 83.27 per cent (11019) of the 13233 students passing the exam while out of the 4214 government school students only 1757 students passed keeping the pass percentage at 41.69.

Meanwhile, in the HSSLC exam (Class XII) the total pass percentage for the Arts stream was 71.89 per cent, Commerce stream was 80.70 per cent while in the Science stream it was 82.24 per cent.

In the arts stream Takatemjen Pongen of Mezhr HSS Kohima bagged the top position 88 per cent marks, Hasina Begam of Holy Cross HSS Dimapur topped commerce stream with 90.50 per cent marks while in the science stream Amasha Das of St John higher Secondary residential School Dimapur held the top position with 91 per cent.

The NBSE has informed that the marksheets and other documents will be issued from May 1 to 8.
