As compared to 2017 the registrations were increased by 20 lakh as the total registrations for in 2018 were 36,55,691.

UP Board is one of the oldest in the country and was established in 1921 and It is also one of the largest in the world in terms of student enrolment.
Over 60 lakh students appeared in the High School and Intermediate examinations conducted by the Board in the year 2017 out of which over 34 lakh students appeared for the class 10 exam that year. In the year 2018 the numerical strength of students enrolled for both these examinations conducted.
The UP Board originally was around 67 lakh but came down to 57 lakh after there was a massive crackdown on the cheaters this year.
