Post this, now the schools will work on processing the results and then disclose it to the students who had appeared in the exam. Now, after the declaration of the results, here are some insights on the weightage of Term 1 marks as well as Term 2 marks that will be considered while evaluating the results.
CBSE Results 2022: Weightage criteria explained for Term 1 and 2
It is noteworthy that earlier, when the board had announced the conduct of exams in two terms: Term 1 and Term 2, it had stated that equal weightage shall be given to the marks obtained by students in both terms. However, this decision is now prone to be rescinded by the board, as after the announcement of Class 10 results for Term 1, the board issued a circular. It stated in the circular that the weightage of Term 1 and Term 2 marks shall be decided during the evaluation of Term 2 marksheets of the students.
The final performance shall be calculated on the basis of the new weightage decided by the board. Thus, a similar criteria is being expected from CBSE's side for the Class 12 students as well.
In addition to this, the marks will be moderated after the declaration of Term 2 exam results. The final list of toppers, final merit list, list of students passed or failed shall be released only after computing Term 2 exam scores.
