The result for the CBSE 12th Exam 2020 has been declared by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) today i.e. July 13, 2020. 

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has gone through a lot of changes and not only this year's academic schedule has been hampered but also the upcoming academic year has been impacted, due to COVID-19.

February 2020: Due to North East Delhi Violence, the examinations were hampered and resulted in the postponement of the 10th, 12th exams at the Maujpur-Babarpur areas. Later the exams were rescheduled to be conducted from March 19 to March 31, 2020.

March 2020: Due to COVID-19 and lockdown, the exams were again postponed one day before the commencement of the exam. This year, a total of 30,96,771 students appeared for the board exams that began from February 15.

April 2020: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced in April that all the exams will not be re-conducted for students of class 10 and 12. Only 29 subject exams would be re-conducted said the board. The remaining exams were to be evaluated internally. 

May 2020: The Board finally released the revised exam schedule for the pending exams. The examinations were scheduled to be conducted from July 1, 2020, to July 15, 2020. Among the 29 subject exams which were to be conducted from July 1, 2020, there were six exams for Class 10 and 12 exams Class 12 for North-East Delhi students which were cancelled due to North-East Delhi riot.

CBSE 10th, 12th Answer Sheet Evaluation from Home 

HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank directed the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in May to start the evaluation of over 1.5 crore answer sheets. The evaluation process was conducted from home.

June 2020: CBSE decided not to conduct the class 10 board exams, while class 12 students were to have an option to appear for the pending exams later. The students who thought they were at a disadvantage by the internal assessment system were given a chance to opt for improvement exams at a later date. The date has not been announced yet.

July 2020: CBSE reduced 30% syllabus for Classes 9 to 12 for the academic year for 2020-21. For classes 8 and below, schools have the freedom to rationalise the syllabus. This was done to make up for the lost instructional hours by the board.

Earlier the result was scheduled to be conducted on July 15, 2020, however, the Board has declared the result two days earlier i.e. today, July 13, 2020.
