Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must have done a Master’s in social science and law with adequate knowledge in the field of forest rights and governance.

Job Description: The selected candidates are required to carry out independent research and policy advocacy work on Forest Rights and Governance in India. Broadly, the position requires the research officers to- (1) analyze the policy and institutional challenges in the implementation of the Forest Rights Act, (2) critically examine the livelihood and governance implications of community forest rights. The selected candidates are expected to do intensive fieldwork and discussion with government officers as per the requirement of the project position.
Job Location: Mumbai (Maharashtra)
