RRB NTPC 2024: The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have opened the application window for graduate-level posts under the Non-technical Popular Category (NTPC). Interested candidates can visit the official website i.e. rrbapply.gov.in. to apply for RRB NTPC 2024 under CEN 05/2024. The application window will remain open till 13 October 2024.
This recruitment drive will fill out a total of 8,113 vacancies such as Chief Commercial cum Ticket Supervisor (CCTS), Station Master, Goods Train Manager (GTM), Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist (JAAT), and Senior Clerk cum Typist.
Out of these 1736 positions are for Chief Commercial cum Ticket Supervisor (CCTS), 994 for Station Master, 3144 for Goods Train Manager (GTM), 1507 for Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist (JAAT), and 732 for Senior Clerk cum Typist.
RRB NTPC Recruitment 2024: Application fees
The application fee is Rs250 for SC, ST, ex-servicemen, female, PwBD, Transgender, Minorities, and Economically Backward Class (EBC) category candidates. However, candidates belonging to another category will have to pay Rs 500 as application fees.
Candidates can pay the application fee online using internet banking, debit, credit cards, or UPI.

To participate in this recruitment drive the age of the candidate must lie between 18 to 36 years. However, relaxation in the upper age limit will be given to reserved category candidates.

The RRB NTPC Stage-1 examination will be a Computer-Based Test (CBT) of a screening nature, aligned with the educational standards prescribed for the posts. The exam duration for candidates with disabilities (PWD) is set at 120 minutes.
The test will have negative markings, with a deduction of one-third of a mark for each incorrect answer. Candidates will be shortlisted at 20 times the community-wise vacancies of posts, based on their merit in the 1st Stage CBT and their choice of posts. The normalized score from the 1st Stage CBT will be used to shortlist candidates for the 2nd Stage CBT.
The RRB NTPC Stage-1 CBT will comprise 100 questions divided into three sections: Mathematics (30 questions), General Intelligence and Reasoning (30 questions), and General Awareness (40 questions), with a total exam duration of 90 minutes.
