A recruitment notification has been released by the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC).
Under Home Department, the notification was released for the invitation of applications in Group B of Odisha Secretariat Service for the post of Assistant Section officer for this year.
Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) under the State Government recruits the candidates for various posts or services belonging to Group B and above.
Candidates can apply on the official website of OPSC as on October 10, 2018.
There are a total of 500 vacant posts for Assistant Section Officer. A remuneration starting from around Rs 9,300 to 34,800 will be given to the candidates who get selected through the process with Rs 4,200 per month as an additional grade pay.
Vacancy (Category wise)
General: there are about 266 vacancies for the candidates belonging to the general category for the post of Assistant Section Officer.
SEBC: there are around 87 vacancies for the candidates belonging to the socially and educationally backward class category for the post of Assistant Section Officer.
SC: there are around 75 vacancies for the post of Assistant Section Officer for the candidates who belong to Scheduled Caste category.
ST: a total of 72 vacancies for the post of Assistant Section Officer are available for the candidates who belong to the Scheduled Tribes category.
Eligibility Criteria
Age Criteria: a candidate must have at least 21 years of age to appear for the posts and should not exceed the age limit of 32 years as on January 1, 2018.
Education Criteria: for the aspirant’s education, they must have a Bachelor's degree in any course from a recognized university. The candidate should have adequate knowledge in the computer application.
Examination Fees
General: Examination fees for the candidates belonging to the general category are Rs 300.
Reserve Category: There are no examination fees for the candidates belonging to any of the reserved categories.
Selection Procedure: There will be a written examination on the bases from which the candidates will be selected.
Important Dates
Starting Date for application: The online applications will commence from October 10, 2018
Last Date: the candidates can apply online only till November 13, 2018.
Collection of Fees: the candidates should pay their examination fees till November 13, 2018.
Examination: the Written Examination will be held on December 23, 2018.
