NCERT Recruitment 2024: The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has invited online applications from eligible candidates for the positions of Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor (including Assistant Librarian). Interested and qualified candidates can apply for these positions by visiting the official website at ncert.nic.in till 16 August at 5 PM. This recruitment campaign aims to fill a total of 123 vacancies.


NCERT Recruitment 2024: Positions and qualifications

Associate Professor

• Candidates must have a Ph.D.
• Minimum of 8 years of teaching experience at the university/college level or research experience in a recognized institution.
• A good record of published work or significant contributions to research in prestigious journals is required.

Assistant Professor

• Candidates should possess a Master's degree in a relevant subject with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) from a recognized Indian or foreign university.
• Must have qualified NET, SLET, or SET, or must have been awarded a Ph.D. as per University Grants Commission rules.
• Ph.D. candidates must meet certain conditions, including regular awards, evaluation by external examiners, open viva, publication of research papers, and presentation at UGC or CSIR NET sponsored conferences or seminars.

Professor

• Candidates must have a Ph.D. with 10 high-quality research publications and a research score of 120.
• A minimum of ten years of teaching or equivalent research experience is required, along with evidence of guiding Ph.D. candidates.

Assistant Librarian

• A Master's degree in Library Science, Information Science, or Documentation Science, or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) is required.
• Candidates should maintain a consistently good academic record and have knowledge of library computers.

NCERT Recruitment 2024: Application fee

• Applicants belonging to UR/OBC/EWS categories are required to pay an application fee of ₹1000.
• Female applicants and candidates from SC/ST/PWD categories are exempt from paying the fee.

• Then, click on the, go to "Announcements - Vacancies", on the homepage.
• Click on the application link in front of "Advertisement No. 174/2024."
• Create an account and proceed with the application process.
• Fill out the form, pay the application fee, and submit. 
• Donwload and take a printout for future reference.
