A recruitment notification has been released by the Indian Navy for the post of Trade Apprentice.

 

The notification has been released for a total of 275 vacant posts of Trade Apprentice.

 

For Pipe Fitter trade, the training period will be of two years and as fr other trades, the training period will be of one year.

 

In accordance with Apprentices Act 1961 and Apprentices (amendment) Act 2014, the apprenticeship is available at Naval Dockyard Apprentices School, Visakhapatnam, DAS (Vzg) for the Training Years 2019- 20/ 21 batches.

 

 

Eligibility Criteria

 

Educational Criteria

 

The candidates who wish to apply for the post should have cleared class 10 with minimum 50 per cent marks and ITI (NCVT) in related trade with a minimum of 65 per cent marks.

 

Age Limit

 

The candidates interested for the post should have been born on or between April 1, 1998 and April 1, 2005.

 

For the candidates who belong to the reserved caste category, they will be provided an age relaxation and they can check the age relaxation norm from the official notification.

 

 

Application Process

 

The candidates who wish to apply for the post and fulfill the eligibility criteria will have to first register themselves on the web portal under NAPS scheme latest by December 5, 2018.


The candidates will have to apply for Apprenticeship Training at Naval Dockyard, Andhra Pradesh establishment at web portal.

 

The candidates must note that there is no application fee.

 

The candidates who wish to apply f or the post must register themselves on the official website by December 5, 2018, as it is the last date to apply.

 

 

Selection Procedure

 

The candidates who wish to apply for the post will have to appear in a written examination which is scheduled to be conducted on January 31, 2 019.


The results for the written examination will be declared in the month of February, 2019.

 

The candidates who qualify the examination and get selected, their training will begin from April 2019.
