Indian Army JAG 2024 recruitment process update: The Indian Army has receiving online applications from unmarried male and female Law Graduates for grant of Short Service Commission in the Indian Army for Judge Advocate General Branch today, July 15. Candidates can now submit their applications on the official website (joinindianarmy.nic.in). The last date of application is August 13, 2024.
While the recruitment drive aims to fill up a total of 10 vacancies, of which, 5 posts are for male candidates and 5 for female candidates, Short Service Commission will be granted to Male and Female in the regular Army for 14 years i.e. for an initial period of 10 years extendable by a further period of 4 years.

"ONLINE APPLICATION FOR JAG ENTRY SCHEME 34TH (MEN AND WOMEN) COURSE (APR 2025) WILL OPEN FROM 15 JUL 2024 AT 1500 Hrs TO 13 AUG 2024 AT 1500 Hrs."
Eligibility Criteria
Age
The applicant must be between 21 and 27 years as on January 1, 2025 (Born not earlier than 02 Jan 1998 and not later than 01 Jan 2004; both dates inclusive).
Educational Qualification
The applicant must have minimum 55% aggregate marks in LLB Degree (three years professional after graduation or five years after 10+2 examination). Apart from this, CLAT PG Score of preceding year is mandatory for all candidates.
While candidates applicants should be eligible for registration as an advocate with Bar Council of India/State, he/she should be from a College/ University recognized by Bar Council of India.
Period of Probation
An officer will be on probation for a period of six months from the date he/she receives his/her commission. If he/she is reported on within the probationary period as unsuitable to retain his/her commission, his/her services may be terminated any time whether before or after the expiry of the probationary period.

Step 1: Visit the official website (joinindianarmy.nic.in).
Step 2: Click on “Officer Entry Apply/Login” and then click “Registration”.
Step 3: Once registered, click “Apply Online”.
Step 4: click on the "Apply" option shown against Short Service Commission JAG Entry Course.
Step 5: Fill up the application, submit the form and take a printout.
