Eligibility Criteria: The candidate must have done a Full-time BE/ BTECH in Mechanical/ Production/ Electronics/ Electrical/ Naval Architecture/ Ship Building from a recognized university/ AICTE approved institution.
Age Limit: 52 years
Desirable Educational Qualification: PG Diploma/ Diploma/ Certificate course from a recognized University/ AICTE approved institution with specialization in Materials Management/ Supply Chain Management/ Logistics management/ Public Procurement/ Stores Management/ International Purchasing & Supply Chain Management.
Essential Work Experience: 20 years post qualification experience in Management level in a PSU/Defence Shipbuilding PSU dealing with purchase/ commercial function in a large process industry/ heavy engineering industry/ manufacturing sector with hands-on experience in formulating / processing of tender for different procurement (both form indigenous and global sources), handling procurement & commercial activities for multiple large scale projects at local as well as global level including projects being developed in India in collaboration with International agencies, Contracts, Inventory Management, Development of New Vendors, Sub Contract, Work Contract, Global Tenders, etc.
Should possess a thorough knowledge of procurement procedures followed by Government organizations/ CPSUs, taxation provisions, Import/ Export Procedures, INCOTERMS, and relevant compliances. Knowledge and exposure to modern concepts of Purchase, Supply Chain Management, Stores, Inventory Control, Foreign Exchange Regulations, Customs Clearance, etc. Knowledge and exposure in formulating Policies and Procedures in commercial Functions are necessary.
Desirable Experience: The incumbent conversant with ERP based procurement tools will be an added advantage. Experience in handling commercial functions in the shipbuilding industry will be an advantage.
