The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the last date to submit the application form for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET 2024) to April 5. Interested candidates can now submit their applications by 5 April 2024 by visiting the official website.
This exam is conducted for the candidates who wish to be teachers of Classes 1 to 8 and want to get the eligibility certificate for the same. This year CTET exam will be conducted on 7 July 2024 in two shifts i.e. from 9:30 am to 12 noon whereas the second shift will commence from 2 pm to 4:30 pm.
According to the official notification, “The last date for submission of online application for CTET-July, 2024 has been extended to 05/04/2024 (before 11:59 PM). Candidates can now apply for CTET 2024 July session You will be able to register on the official website ctet.nic.in till April 5. Applicants facing any technical problem while filling the CTET application form can contact 8802580447."
Candidates may note that the CTET qualifying certificate is valid for a lifetime for all categories. The scores of CTET will also be applicable in the following institutions.

- CTET scores apply to central government schools such as Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), Central Tibetan Schools, and
- Schools under the administrative control of the Union Territory of Chandigarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman-Diu and Andaman-Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, and NCT of Delhi.
- CTET certificate is also considered valid by the unaided private schools
- Schools owned and managed by the state governments, local bodies, and aided schools may consider the TET conducted by the state government. However, a state government can also consider the CTET if it decides not to conduct the state TET.
