The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the 14th edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) on July 5, 2020 (Sunday).

 

The test will be conducted in 20 (Twenty) languages in 112 cities all over the country.

 

The detailed Information Bulletin containing details of examination, syllabus, languages, eligibility criteria, exam fee, exam cities and important dates etc. are available on CTET official website ctet.nic.in w.e.f. 24-01-2020 and the aspiring candidates are requested to download the Information Bulletin from the above-mentioned website only and read the same carefully before applying.

 

The aspiring candidates have to apply online only through CTET website i.e. ctet.nic.in.

 

The online application process will start from 24.01.2020 and the last date for submitting online application will be 24.02.2020. The fee can be paid upto 27.02.2020 till 03.30 PM.

 

The application fee applicable for CTET July 2020 is as under:

Only Paper 1 or II: Rs. 1000/-
Both Paper I & II: Rs. 1200/-

 

SC/ST/Diff. Abled Person
Only Paper 1 or II: Rs. 500/-

In 2019: 

The result along with the final answer key for the Central Teachers Eligibility Test 2019 was released on December 27, 2019, by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

The Central Board of Secondary Education conducted the 13th edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) on December 08, 2019 (Sunday).

 

The rationale for including the TET as a minimum qualification for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher is as under:

1. It would bring national standards and benchmark of teacher quality in the recruitment process;

2. It would induce teacher education institutions and students from these institutions to further improve their performance standards;

3. It would send a positive signal to all stakeholders that the Government lays special emphasis on teacher quality
