BPSC Teacher Recruitment 2023: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) will end registrations for the post of School Teacher in primary, secondary, and higher secondary schools in Bihar on July 22, 2023. Candidates can apply for vacancies with a late fee on the official websites, bpsc.bih.nic.in, or onlinebpsc.bihar.gov.in.
BPSC Teacher 2023 Deadline: Important Details
Earlier, the last date to apply for the BPSC Teacher Recruitment 2023 was July 12, 2023. Earlier, the deadline was exended to July 15, 2023. Then it was extended to July 19, 2023. Candidates can apply for the vacancies by paying a late fee from July 20 to 22, 2023.
The BPSC recruitment drive aims to fill up a total of 1,70,461 vacancies for School Teachers for Class 1 to 5 (Primary), Class 9 to 10 (Secondary), and Class 11 to 12 (Higher Secondary) under the Education Department, Govt. of Bihar. Of these, 50 percent of the posts have been reserved for women.
The exam will be held on August 24, 25, 26, and 27, 2023. Whereas, the result of the teacher recruitment exam is likely to be released by December 2023.
Number of Applications Till July 19
By 6 pm on the last day without a late fee, July 19, applications for primary teacher posts were 9.20 times the number of vacancies, and for secondary teacher posts, 1.82 times. Only two-thirds of the higher secondary teacher applicants have applied so far. 8.50 lakh applicants registered, with 7.92 lakh completing the process. Total vacancies: 1,70,461. Expected to surpass nine lakh applicants by the deadline, July 22, with late fees. Primary teacher applications may increase by 10 times.
Vacancy Details:
- Primary schools (Class 1 to 5): 79,943
- Secondary schools (Class 9 to 10): 32,916
- Higher Secondary schools (Class 11 to 12): 57,602
Age Limit:
18–37 years for Primary schools and 21–37 years for Secondary and Higher Secondary schools as of August 1, 2023. The upper age limit is relaxed for reserved categories.
Application Fee:
The application fee for SC/ST/Female/PWD candidates is Rs 200, whereas Rs 750 applies to candidates from other categories. Additionally, a biometric fee of Rs 200 for every post applies.
