Amid the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic, many boards have either postponed the annual examinations or have cancelled them this year. While the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) is yet in the dilemma of conducting the exam or postponing it until the situation turns conducive.

As per the latest media reports, the WBSSE President Kalyanmoy Ganguly said that no decision has been taken yet on postponement or cancellation of the Class 10th, 12th Board Exams 2021. The West Bengal Class 10th Board Exams 2021 are scheduled to be commenced from June 01 to June 10, 2021.

The decision on whether the examinations will be deferred or be scrapped is yet to be announced. Board President Kalyanmoy Ganguly further said that it is hard to conduct the Class 10th board examinations from the scheduled date as per the prevailing situation across the state. However, the WBBSE had made all the preparations as per the COVID guidelines to conduct the board exams before the second wave of pandemic disease struck.
