The Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test-2021 for Primary Level (classes I to V) and for Elementary Level (classes VI to VIII) was initially scheduled to be held on November 28. The exam was however cancelled by the authorities on the same day due to the malfeasant activity of paper leak. The investigation of the paper leak was handed over to the STF and about 30 people were arrested throughout the investigation.
Around 20 lakh candidates had registered for the UPTET exam, this year. For this huge number of students, 2,736 exam centres were earmarked by the government across the state.
