UPTET 2018: The examination for Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test 2018 has been scheduled to be conducted on November 18, 2018.

 

The online registration process for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UP TET 2018) ended on October 7, 2018.

 

The online registration process was extended from the schedule provided by the official website according to which the registrations were to close by October 4, 2018.


 

TET or Teacher Eligibility Test is an entrance examination for Indian teachers.
 

It was specially introduced by the Government of India to improve the standards of teaching.
 

The registrations commenced on September 18 and will end tomorrow.

Candidates can register online via Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board's (UPBEB) official website.


In connection with the UP TET 2018, the UPBEB board released the notification on September 15.

 

The exam is scheduled to be conducted on November 4, 2018.

 

Important Dates


September 17, 2018: The online registration process commenced on this date.


October 4, 2018: The online application process ended on this date.


October 31, 2018: Admit Card released on the official website candidates can download the UP TET Admit card from this date.


November 18, 2018: The UP TET Examination is scheduled to be conducted on November 18, 2018.


Examination Pattern


The examination comprises of two papers.

 

Paper I

 

This paper would be for candidates who wish to be a teacher for classes I to V.

 

UP TET Paper I Exam will be conducted for 150 marks.


It will be an objective type Exam which will consist of 150 questions to answer.


Duration of the Paper 1 will be 2 1/2 hrs.


Paper II

 

This paper would be for the candidates who wish to be a teacher fir class VI to VIII.
 

The UP TET Paper II Exam will be conducted for 150 marks.


It will be an objective type Exam which will consist of 150 questions to answer.


Duration of the Paper 1 will be 2 1/2 hrs.

Child Development and Teaching Method


Concepts of Development and its relationship with Learning, The concept of inclusive education and understanding children with special needs, Learning and Pedagogy


Mathematics
 

Geometry, Numbers, Addition & Subtraction, Multiplication, Division, Time and Distance, Measurement, Pattern, Data Analysis, Factors, Graph


Environmental Study


Family and Friend, Teaching related issues, Concept of environmental education, Activities and various topics.

 

Eligibility Criteria

For Classes I-V (Primary level):

 

Candidates should possess Degree from UGC recognised University with 02 years BTC (Final year & Passed out candidates)/ NCTE/ 02 years Diploma (D.Ed) from Indian Rehabilitation Center (RCI)/ Intermediate with minimum 50% of marks/ its equivalent with 04 years Degree (Final year & Passed out candidates) in Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).


For Classes VI-VIII (upper primary level):

 

Candidates should possess Degree from UGC recognised University/ 02 years BTC (Final year and Passed out candidates) from NCTE/ Intermediate with minimum 50% of marks/ its equivalent and 04 years Degree (Final year and Passed out candidates) in Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed), Intermediate or equivalent, BA/ BSc.Ed or BA.Ed/ BSc.Ed from NCTE/ UG recognized Institute or Degree in Relevant discipline and B.Ed.
