The UPSC has declared the Date of conducting Civil Services Prelims Exams 2019 for IAS/ IPS Officers. The exam is scheduled to be held on June 02, 2019. "Aspirants who belong to economically weaker sections will be able to get the benefit of reservation" - Government said.

The recruitment drive is held for 896 vacant posts of which 39 posts are reserved for persons with benchmark disability. Candidates who are interested in the recruitment drive have to mention the post preference for various cadres under the UPSC Civil Services Recruitment 2019.
As per the official notification, "Reservation will be made for candidates belonging to SCs, STs, OBCs, Economically Weaker Sections and persons with benchmark disability in respect of vacancies as may be fixed by the government." The centre has also decided to introduce a 10% reservation for people belonging to economically weaker sections of society.
The Last Date to apply for Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2019 is March 18, 2019, till 18:00 hrs.
