UPSC CSE Mains 2022: Paper Pattern and Guidelines - PC : My Result Plus
UPSC CSE Mains 2022: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is all set to begin the UPSC CSE Mains 2022 exam from tomorrow, September 16, 2022 onwards. The exams will continue till September 25, 2022. Ahead of the exam, the candidates must check the paper pattern and guidelines for the exam here.

UPSC CSE Mains 2022: Exam Timings and Pattern
 
The Union Public Service Commission Civil Services Mains 2022 exam will be held in two shifts. Shift I will be conducted from 9 am until 12 pm, while Shift II will be held from 2 pm until 5 pm. The candidates will be required to face as many as 9 papers which will be held on different days. The exam will advance in the offline (pen-paper) mode and will be a subjective pattern exam.

UPSC CSE Mains 2022: Exam Guidelines
 
Candidates must go through the exam guidelines at length in order to avoid hassles during the course of the examination.
  • Candidates must reach the exam center early, i.e. at least an hour prior to the commencement of the examination.
  • They must necessarily carry the hard copy of their respective hall tickets, as well as two passport size photographs and a valid government issued photo ID proof for verification purposes.
  • Only a black and blue ball point pen, along with a sanitizer bottle and a water bottle must be brought to the examination center. Candidates must refrain from bringing mobile phones or other personal possessions, as the safety and security of the same will not be ensured by the exam center authorities.
  • No candidate must possess any of the prohibited items inside the exam hall, which include mobile phones, earphones, tablets, bluetooth devices, or study material such as paper sheets, books, notebooks etc.
  • Strict adherence to Covid-appropriate behaviour is mandatory at the exam center.
