The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has commenced the exam centre choice facility for the Civil Services Prelims & Mains Exam and Indian Forest Service Examination 2020. The Commission has issued an official notification related to this. The notice is available on the official website of the UPSC at upsconline.nic.in. The exam centre choice facility was commenced on July 07 and will be available online upto July 13, 2020.
The official notification reads, "The Commission has allowed admitted candidates of the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2020 [including the Indian Forest Service (Preliminary) Examination, 2020]; the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2020 and the Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination, 2020 to change their ‘Examination Centres’, if required by them, on https://upsconline.nic.in during the period from 07-07-2020 to 13-07-2020 in the Phase-I."
Candidates will be required to log in through the registered id and password to change the exam centre if required. The candidates' request for generating OTP for change of examination centre will be accepted only till 5:30 PM on July 13, 2020. Interested candidates can change their examination centres before the due date.
UPSC Civil Services & Indian Forest Service Exam 2020: How to change the exam centre?
Step 1: Visit the official website of UPSC at upsconline.nic.in
Step 2: Click on the link that reads, "ONLINE REQUEST FOR CHANGE OF EXAMINATION CENTRE FOR CIVIL SERVICES (PRELIMINARY)/CS(MAIN)/IFOS(MAIN) EXAMINATION - 2020"
Step 3: Read the instructions and proceed by clicking on the link says "Click Here"
Step 4: Go through the detailed notification carefully and click on the "Yes" tab
Step 5: A new page will open where candidates have to enter the log in credentials and click on "Continue"
Step 6: Select the desired city to make necessary changes and click on the submit button
Step 7: Save the confirmation page and take a printout for future reference.
